Isabelle et Vincent : Fairfield, CT

Immediately after coming out of Rawley's, my better half spotted a French bakery across the street.

So after a touch of frogger crossing the street, we found ourselves at Isabelle et Vincent, a patisserie, named after the husband and wife owners, who recreated their old Patisserie in France in Connecticut.

We were greeted with a friendly "bonjour!", which brought back fond memories of trying out patisseries in France (and Montreal).

Given that we had immediately come from eating, we were quite full, so this is by no means a full write-up.

Blueberry tart
Really quite lovingly restrained.  Natural flavor of blueberries came through, with the glaze (?) not being overly sweet.  The crust was extremely thin on the bottom, more or less being solely there to support the blueberries.

Really a nice (if an albeit strange match of a) topping to an good meal.  This is more of a reminder post to myself if we find ourselves in the area again to try more in depth.
