Antico Pizza has grown on both of us and it currently stands as our favorite pizza place of Atlanta.
Not a great photo by any means, but you order from this counter. They have a few bar seats up front, but the more interesting (and dare I say very Atlantan) dining experience is the communal seating in the back. It's stainless steel picnic tables, where you can enjoy sitting elbow to elbow with fellow friendly diners and also watch some pizza creation as well.
Margherita
Unpictured. But this is our go-to pizza. San Marzano tomatoes, balls of Mozzarella, basil leaves and garlic. A thin crust that has flavor, has a bit of chewiness and really has to be folded or it flops over. Simple ingredients, but good stuff.
Capricciosa
Not bad. Pretty much margherita with white mushrooms and prosciutto. Decent, but the prosciutto just doesn't taste like the stuff we had in Italy.
Pistacchio dessert
Nice pistachio flavor, but just remember thinking to stick with just the pizza next time.
Cannoli w/ Ricotta
Nice that they freshly squeeze the filling for you. Decent version, which will do if you've got a hankering for a cannoli.
