Top Spice is a Thai and Malaysian restaurant with three locations in the Atlanta area.
It does have a rather quiet and tasteful interior, but if we're going to out to eat for ethnic food, chances are we are headed to the Buford Highway area. That being said, Top Spice has remained our go-to place for Thai/Malaysian take-out if we do need a quick bite to eat.
Pad Thai
Decent noodles. Sometimes varies in the freshness of accompanying vegetables/seafood, but overall better than the standard version.
Beef rendang
In general, Rendang has such a unique taste. The spices give it that curry-esque flavor, but I think it's the caramelization that lends a warmer, more familiar flavor.
Chunks of beef, infused with the flavor, somewhat tender. With a few fresh cucumbers.
Overall, again, we have a slight preference for Top Spice over other local Thai and Southeast Asian places, but wouldn't recommend as a destination.
