Persimmons : Bologna, Italy

As an fyi, if anyone visits the Parmigiano Reggiano region in the fall like we did (yes I am that backlogged with posts), do try their persimmons.

We picked up a few at one of the produce stands in Bologna and they were extraordinary: sweet, bursting with flavor and without that graininess that sometimes comes with persimmons that I've had before.
