On slow food and industrialized food

Just came across an article on slow and fast food, called In Praise of Fast Food, written by Rachel Laudan that I think does a good job of reminding folks that 1) it is all too easy to fall into a false dichotomy of slow food *versus* fast food and 2) it is a romantic fairy-tale to think that all of the country farmers in the past had spectacularly good home-cooked meals.   It's a good read: In Praise of Fast Food
