Why Some Foods are Hard to Resist

Besides the human element of the story, this Washington Post article on David Keppler, the former commissioner of the FDA, and his personal goal of figuring out why people crave processed foods is somewhat simplistic and uninformative.

However, I'm hoping Keppler's book on the subject, The End of Overeating: Taking control of the Insatiable American Appetite is more enlightening.

Because, honestly, anything that leads to the decrease in the number of crappy, fattening American restaurants and the improvement of the overall health of Americans, I am all for.
