Soot Bull Jeep : Los Angeles

Of all of the restaurants that deserve pictures and a full review, it was this one.

When you walk in, there's a sign on the front door, saying "grade B meat." Swathes of smoke wafts away from the barbeque tables towards you, avoiding the somewhat non-functional vents, making your eyes water and permeating your clothes for weeks. While waiting for the waitresses, who don't really seem to notice or care that you're waiting for seats (Asian or not), you notice unaesthetic (read kind of ghetto) buckets of charcoal used for the barbecue. And oh yeah, that kind of rude service that admittedly is shocking to Americans, well, that continues throughout the meal.

But really the food is the reason that they can get away with this. My mouth salivates, when I remember that meat: juicy, flavorful, delicious. This seriously ranks up there as one of my favorite restaurants in my entire summer California trip.
