America's Hot Dogs

SeriousEats just did a round up of the differing regional variations of hot dogs in the US. Sadly, and not for lack of trying, I've only had one type on their list, the Chicago, despite having only visited there briefly and having lived in or visited some of the other prime hot dog regions for longer periods of time (Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, LA).

I'm especially disappointed not having tried any of the Connecticut's (while friends lived there) or Rhode Island's, (after reading the NYtimes article on the Rhode Island culinary culture.) But c'est la vie, I suppose I have other foods to be obsessing about.

($Burgers / Hot Dogs, $Connecticut, $LA, $NYC)
