Har Lam Kee Restaurant

Har Lam Kee Restaurant
168 B E. Garvey Ave.
Monterey Park, CA 91755

Place that my Dad likes to go for jeuk (rice porridge) and noodles. This time, we tried out:

Gop die jeuk - (Rice porridge with cow liver, meatball?, skin?) - Pretty good, although the porridge tastes like it has sat around for some time.

(Sticky rice) - Not bad, a little on the dry side

(XO Sauce, Crab, white egg fried rice) - Also not bad, I feel like this would not be too hard to make myself though.

Ngow lam meen (Slow cooked beef and beef tendon over egg noodles) - This was my favorite. The slow cooked beef and beef tendons were very tendon and tasty, and flavored the sauce that covered the egg noodles.

Siu gao won ton meen (Dumplings and wonton noodles in a broth) - Pretty good dumplings and wontons, egg noodles nicely cooked, broth a little on the bland side.

($Chinese, $LA)
